Multi-Laminated Ultra Clear Fire and Thermal Heat Resistive Glass
Pyrostop Multi-Lami Glass is a multi-laminated fire-rated glass that blocks heat transfer. It comprises multiple layers of float glass and intumescent interlayers, creating a barrier that limits heat and smoke transmission. Pyrostop Multi-Lami glass is often used in applications requiring a fire rating that meets 250° F temperature-rise criteria to limit the amount of heat transfer to the other side of the door or wall to the other and clear visibility, including stairwells and emergency exits.
Advantages of Multi-Lami Fire-Resistive Glass
- Blocks radiant and conductive heat transfer, offering full fire protection
- Provides clear visibility while maintaining a strong fire-rated barrier
- Composed of multiple layers with intumescent interlayers for enhanced safety
- Ideal for critical areas like stairwells, emergency exits, and other interior or exterior spaces
- Available fire ratings ranging from 45 to 120 minutes
- Impact resistant, positive pressure, and thermal shock and hose stream tested
Insulated Glass Units
FireLite Insulated Glass Units (IGUs) combine fire-rated glass with additional layers of insulating materials to provide enhanced thermal performance. These units are designed to meet energy efficiency standards while still offering the necessary fire resistance. IGUs are available with various glass options, including tinted, one-way mirrored, Low-E insulated, Sound Transmission Classified (STC) rated, frosted, and more.
Advantages of IGUs
- Provides an entirely wireless view
- Withstands sudden Thermal Shock
- Fire-Rated up to 90 minutes or 180 minutes with required Hose Stream Test
- Passes the Positive Pressure Test standards of UL 10C,UBC 7-2 and UBC 7-4
